The Before ,After Christmas Craft Room Over haul!

 I told myself that the very first thing that I would do after all the Christmas stuff was down and put away that I would tackle my craft room that just seemed to have blown up along the way.

So instead of just picking things up and putting stuff in places, I decided to totally do a cleaning out of the craft room and rearranging of my shelves and tables. I was very pleased with the things I was able to get rid of to make room for the "NEW" stuff that DH got me for Christmas. Here are the beginning photos of the "BEFORE"...

The After Craft Room overhaul

  

 What a job this was! This took me two days to get through everything, take apart tables and organize all the stuff that seems to accumulate in the craft room. I even put a box aside that is marked with Christmas 2014 craft projects. I'm starting early this coming up year. I have many different things that I have seen along the way and have taken pictures to remind myself what I wanted to do.

Merry Christmas friends!..I hope everyone is having a wonderful celebration with friends and family. This Holiday went by so fast, I can't believe its already today!.

Oval punch Christmas bows

A quick post with a tutorial to go with it.I found this really quick and easy tutorial on how to make bows using the Oval Punch.

Supplies are : DSP of your choice, oval punch, glue dots, square punch, scissors and ribbon about 1 1/2 in.

Punch out 4 ovals, using the square punch or scissors, notch the ends of two.

Using glue dots fold the other two ovals in half adhering with the glue dots.

Take the two bottom ovals and attach them
Together with a glue dot.

Now take the folded halves and attach them to the top.

Take the ribbon and wrap it around the middle and adhere in the back.

There you have it, a bow made by you!

Tube sock snowman

Good Sunday morning, I was looking around some of the things to do for christmas and on my Facebook page was this cute snowman idea made from tube sucks..I wanted to share it with everyone, this is definitely a project you can do with the kids.

 

 

 

1. Cut a tube sock in half (at the heel) Save the bottom half of the sock for later....
2. Fasten the end of the sock with a rubber band.
3. Stuff the bottom half of the sock with your choice of cotton or rice. (rice will keep him sturdy), and fasten with a rubber band.
4. Stuff the top portion for the head and fasten with a rubber band.
5. (For the hat) flip the open end of the sock as if you were going to pair the socks and place it on the head of the snowman.
6. Use an old strip of fabric for a scarf and decorate as desired. You can use hot glue to attach eyes, nose and buttons



Coastal cabana and basic grey

I love Stampin up's color Coastal Cabana. I mixed it with basic grey and used the mosaic embossing folder and this is how it turned out..a cute thank you card .

Oh what fun! Reindeer using owl punch

I saw this card that used the owl punch for a reindeer, so I thought I would give it a try and see what I could come up with. It's a silly little card, but it is cute.

Happy last weekend of October! Next weekend starts the Holiday season and im almost finished with my list!.
I started the weekend out with working in my craft room, Lots Of orders to place and I wanted to Try a different color in my popular snowman card. So I tried it in green and red..here is the result...

Good morning Sunday! This is my last day on vacation, I have been on fall break for two weeks and am proud to say I got so much accomplished! The entire house is cleaned out and I was very productive in the craft room.
I really like using the Mosaic punch by stampin up, so here's another christmas card using it.

I've been working on some different ideas for the Holidays, I searched around other blogs and I found one that did a cute thing called the "12 days of Christmas" and every day was a new project. Easy ones as well!. I started to make a few of them. Did you know they don't sell Red and Green M&M's until closer to Christmas?..lol
Here are two of the ideas that she had. I'm thinking of doing the 12 Days of Christmas with new projects every day. I have so many different ideas to share!

If I could I would skip right past Halloween and head into Christmas.

But DH is a Halloween fanatic and so is our son, so Christmas will only be in my Craft room.

A Penguin Christmas Card

Good Friday morning!.

DH had to be to work really early this morning so I took the opportunity to start early in my craft room. I found this card on Pinterest (CASE) and just loved it.

I usually leave the inside of my cards blank, but this time I went ahead and stamped inside of the card.

 

As soon as I find this card again I'll come back and give proper credit to the creative crafter that made the card.

Halloween Candy Gift Holders

I can't believe that its October already!. I am currently on a 2 week vacation and so far i'm loving it. I started my Vacation with DH and I celebrating 17 years together on Saturday. We took a little trip up North and spent the day there. The Weather was beautiful and we are eagerly waiting for that cooler weather to hit us here.

 

I spent today working on some gifts for October. Who doesn't love Candy? I decided to take the idea from Lisa Young for the Note Card holder and turn it into a Candy Gift Holder.

I also worked on a few Pringle Can gifts too. I like the smaller size cans, they are a lot cuter then the tall ones. I have co workers who bring them into me all the time. Until next time...
