Curtain rod for sponges

I originally had these on a wire round storage rack but I have recently down sized a lot of my table top storage .. This is very easy to do and stores your sponges while not in use. .

Penguin Gift Card Holder

I stopped by to visit one of my favorite blogs. Her ideas are cute and always fun to try out.
This was done by Lisa Young of Add ink and Stamp . I always love to share my finds to others. So they might try it out as well. I would love to see some other ideas for Gift Card Holders!

The part that says "place gift card here" is not on the actual project. I added that with photoshop for blogging purposes.

To create this penguin using Oval framelits, you will need:
  • 3 Basic Black ovals using the second largest frame lit for the body and pocket.
  • 1 Basic Black oval using the smallest oval frame lit - cut in half for the wings
  • 1 Whisper White oval using the 3rd largest frame lit for the layer inside the gift card holder
  • 1 Whisper White oval using the 4th largest frame lit for the tummy. Punch the notch at the top using the largest arrow from the What's Up arrow punch.
  • Real Red card stock for the hat. Use the 3rd largest oval frame lit. Fold the card stock in half and run it through the Big Shot so the fold is not cut.
You will also need to:
  •  punch a circle from Glimmer paper using the 3/4" circle punch. This is the pom pom.
  • Punch eyes using the Owl Punch
  • Punch a small arrow using Pumpkin Pie card stock and the What's Up Arrow punch. Trim it for the beak
  • Cut a rectangle from Red Glimmer paper for the package.
  • cut silver ribbon for the package
  • Cut a strip of Whisper White card stock for the stocking cap. I just did the front only.
  • A banner for the inside, stamped with Merry Christmas from the Petite Pairs stamp set.
It is important to keep the fold in the hat because that will keep the penguins front and back together. Also, only use a thin line of adhesive around the edge of the pocket so your gift card will fit into the pocket.

All supplies are Stampin' Up!

Stamps: Petite Pairs
Paper: Silver Glimmer, Red Glimmer
Card Stock: Whisper White, Real Red, Basic Black, Pumpkin Pie
Ink: Real Red
Other: Oval Framelits, Big Shot, Silver Ribbon, What's Up arrow punch, 3/4" circle punch

Santa and Snowman bottles

Here is a great idea using bottles, which was a great find at Michaels 6 for $5!
They were filled with white M&M's and Red and Green M&M's. I made quite a few for coworkers and friends as little gifts.
You can also view these and others under Craft Ideas using the button up top of the page.

A collection of beautiful Cards!

Hello fellow creative friends!..Things have just been crazy for the past few months and it has definitely limited my time on line to even do the slightest of posting on projects that have been done. Its crazy how fast life can go by when you don't take moments out to breathe! I'm sure many of us know how crazy life can get between work, being a mom, a wife, a taxi and new adventures you "think" you have time for. That's me!. Every day is a new adventure for me and the boys.
I've returned back to school part time, as well changed my job and am still keeping up with being a Demonstrator and Hair stylist. Too much? No way! Lets add in that my son is also a Senior in HS this year. Which adds so much more to the table! Vacation? Yes one of those are planned in there as well.
I've done numerous cards, birthday, get well, teacher appreciation, just because and I've finally found a few moments to get them posted for you.
This first one was a Birthday card for a wonderful CoWorker, I will admit this one took some time. I wanted it to be just perfect and Perfect is what it turned out to be!

The next one was my wonderful Husband's birthday card. Yes he turned THE BIG 40!. It was a wonderful day and he absolutely loved this card. He is my music man and the DSP fit perfect for the card.

Teacher Appreciation: Sometimes you meet people that absolutely amaze you in their ability not only to teach but to have compassion in what they do every day. Chris definitely deserved to be recognized!

This was a Mother's day card done for my BF's MIL, I took this idea from a previous card I had made. Cute colors!!

My final card, a quick card done because I was still in the going mode of crafting. This one still sits in my craft room. I love the DSP and Colors on this card. I could craft all day using these colors.

Don't forget STAMPIN UP! has released their new Annual Catalog!. Its a wonderful catalog with great products!. I'm getting ready to place my first order from it. If you are wanting a catalog or supplies you can shop with me 24/7!

Stampin Up Fringe Scissors

Stampin Up Fringe Scissors, a must have. Decked out in Pool Party and Crisp Cantaloupe and using the DSP Sweet Sorbet this card came together quickly. I like when I see great ideas on Pinterest. Especially using new items I might have just got in.
Being inspired is what makes the creativity flow in yourself.

Another Find (and tweaked) from Pinterest

Sweet Sorbet Tri Fold Card

Sweet Sorbet Tri Fold card using 8 1/2 x 11 Cardstock instead of 12 x 12.
I found numerous tutorials on 12 x 12 cardstock but couldn't locate dimensions for a Tri fold card using 8 1/2 x 11 cardstock.
I finally figured it out a few hours later and the results are in.
It turned out beautiful.
The tutorial for the 8 1/2 x 11 cardstock Tri fold card are down below.

DSP Sweet Sorbet Treat Box

DSP Sweet Sorbet is one of my top picks for Designer Paper. I made sure during SAB that I ordered a few packs of it. Here is another Easter Treat Box made by a video tutorial you can find here. I have made quite a few already and plan on handing them out to coworkers for Easter. Who doesn't love a little chocolate?

For you in gorgeous grunge

Gorgeous Grunge has become one of my favorite sets as you can see in the next more neutral card. I used Crumb cake and Basic Black, another find from Pinterest.
I'm so glad that this was one of my sets that I chose through Stampin up!
You can order from me anytime just by clicking the link on the side !

Oh Hello

My box arrived!. I was so happy when I saw that big brown truck pull up outside of my house, there's the truck's horn! I knew what was coming I waited for him to get out of that truck and search for my box and then i heard him, one ring of my doorbell which set the dog off and a big "klunk" as the driver dropped the box in front of my door. Doesn't he know there are precious items in that box?..All my items that were purchased were during Sale A Bration, so i knew i had lots of free goodies in there!..One of my favorite sets is the Gorgeous Grunge set. I found a Happy Birthday card on Pinterest that used it and had to do my own version with a simple "oh hello" from the "oh hello" stamp set.
Pool Party and strawberry crush are perfect colors!

Top Note Bunny

One of my favorite things about ordering from Stampin Up during the Sale A Bration was not only the free products but also the Hostess benefits. Yesterday The big brown truck arrived with my Box of goodies from Stampin Up!.
I was missing for a few hours as I dug through all the wonderful items!.
One of my favorite items I purchased was the Top note Die. I have seen so many "Bunnies" out there that I wanted to try one myself.
This was found on Pinterest ...
The middle section holds Candy. This would be a great idea for coworkers to put on their desks!

Treat box for any occasion

Happy April!. Its been a tornado of events the past few weeks, however I have managed between changing jobs, preparing my son to take his Drivers test and training our crazy dog, to get into that craft room.
I spent some time looking for cute Easter things to make for the up coming Easter Holiday and though I found a few, there was one Box imparticular that I had to try.
Once it was made the first time I tried it a second time and love the outcome! I filled the inside with Hershey Kisses and gave it to a coworker, who was extremely happy!.
Chocolate can make anyone smile!

This is using DSP from the Sale A Bration catalog.

In Sympathy

A very warm "In Sympathy" card using neutral and Night of Navy colors.
This Design was a favorite of mine from Mary Fish.

Feeling Sentimental occasions masculine card

Here is another "For the Guy" card. A simply "Thanks" card . Neutral based colors and kept it clean of lace and bows lol

For the guys

Ever Have problems with making "MAN" cards. I do!!..I love making the girly cards! I friend's birthday is coming up and being a male he's not into all the cute things!. So once again I was on the look out for a design that was more manly then girly. I used very neutral colors and only added a bow!. No frills and lace for this one : )
