Welcome Back to U of A!

Hello! Happy weekend to everyone. We are winding down here on the last week of vacation before everyone goes back to work and school! I have a wonderful friend who's son is returning to U of A in a few days so I thought a nice Good luck card would be nice for him!. It turned out pretty nice, This was my first attempt at making a pencil. I think I did alright lol.

Season's Greetings - Christmas in July

My last Christmas card for the evening is a simple card done in Crumb cake and Night of Navy. A simple Season's Greetings.

Christmas Tree Punch in Red and SIlver

I've been using the Tree punch for a lot of things the past few days. I saw this really neat Christmas Card from Just Judy and tried it out myself. I like the red and silver together with Smokey slate. A good color combination.

Christmas in July #3 Snowbuddies

Christmas in July brings Snow buddies.
Cardstock - Marina Mist and Whisper White

I like the look of snow falling behind, I added a few stars with rhinestones, since the sentiment says "Wondrous Wishes". Colored it in with Marina Mist and Baha Breeze.

Large Double display Card

Oh What a beautiful Happy Birthday Card ! This card was made following a quick tutorial from Dawn's Stamping Thoughts. I really enjoy watching her tutorials. There are some great ideas from her. Here I followed the tutorial for the cut and went to town creating the rest! I find that most card cuts are easy to follow, however sometimes you just get stuck and look at it and think, hmm now what? This was pretty easy, I have a friend who's birthday is coming up, so this one was easy to get done. There are many angles to the card so you can see what it looks like folded and unfolded. The coordinating envelope is also made to go with it since the card is a different size than the normal.

Mitten Christmas GC holder

I've started Christmas Cards and Gift Card holders. Here is the first of many to come. A very cute Mitten gift card holder. I found many different templates out there of a mitten and I finally had to come up with my own. So with a few adjustments I was able to come up with one that opens at the top and the gift card sits in a pocket on the inside so it doesn't slide all the way down.

Make a wish

My goodness it has been a few days since I've been able to get here and post. I hope that everyone had a great 4th of July weekend! It's been hectic around here, summer vacation is winding down into the last few weeks. I have been working on some Christmas cards and Christmas goodie boxes to get ahead of myself when the school year starts. It seems there is never any time between work, school and running a household!
Today I brought to show and tell a very cute and simple card titled "Make a wish". I love the bohemian DSP so I made it twice using the DSP and my two favorite colors Dapper Denim and Emerald Envy.
